Internal Audit Intern

Group/Division

The SOX Compliance team is responsible for assessing the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls at KLA. We are part of the global KLA Corporate Audit group.

Responsibilities

The internship will be based in Milpitas, California during the summer of 2020 with the potential for full-time hire in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We are looking for a well-rounded, versatile college student with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team for the summer.

The intern position will include the following responsibilities:  

  • Testing the effectiveness of internal controls
  • Testing the information used in financial reports for completeness and accuracy
  • Documenting the results of testing
  • Updating process narratives, flowcharts, and control matrices
  • Assisting in evaluating new processes and systems
  • Assisting with the year-end control certifications
  • Communicating results via written reports and/or oral presentations

Qualifications

  • Preferred Coursework: Intermediate / Advanced Accounting, Auditing, Information Systems Design, Business Intelligence, Data Analysis
  • Solid understanding of accounting, processes, and internal controls.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, quality of work
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, perform under time pressure

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum Coursework: Introduction to Accounting, Auditing
  • Overall GPA: 3.25 or above
  • Major GPA: 3.5 or above
  • Ability to travel internationally
