The Wafer Inspection Division (WIN) is the world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced optical inspection tools for inline monitoring of process defects in advanced semiconductor factories.


This internship will be for a BBP SW System Engineer role. This intern will have the following responsibilities:

1. Build infrastructure and developer tools to  localize problems and debug distributed systems and data pipelines.

2. Develop scripts to analyze logs, thread-dumps, and other diagnostics data to generate actionable insights.

3. Work with multiple cross-functional teams to help deliver high quality software solutions.

4. Address complex technical challenges for optimizing KLA’s software development lifecycle.



  • Working knowledge of object oriented programming in one or more of Java, C/C++, Python.
  • Experience with data structures and algorithms (completing relevant course work, course projects, or internships).
  • Experience with systematic problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and distributed systems.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Computer Science or related field.

Must work well in a collaborative team environment.
