Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

EBeam’s mission encapsulates its role as the “eyes” of KLA’s product line, providing timely information on defects and critical locations on the wafer at the highest spatial resolution possible. Customers use EBeam products alongside KLA patterned and bare wafer inspectors to quickly understand the nature of defects and other imperfections on product wafers and take action to correct the manufacturing process.
The Intern role is to build and commission test fixture(s) to characterize and qualify the performance of certain modules used in ebeam scanning electron microscopy. The submodules includes but not limited to electrostatic chuck used that holds wafer at the XYZ moving stage in vacuum chamber during inspection; objective lens thermal management, contamination and particle shedding of selected components in vacuum chamber; High voltage components testing and selection.
To perform the task, the Intern will be working on Robotic and automation mechanism to cleanly and reliability transfer witness wafers under test module. She/He should be able to develop test plan, collect and analyze data using standard analysis SW packages (Matlab, LabView, Excel, JMP etc..) Write and present report.
The candidate will be trained to run and operate multimillion dollar wafer inspection and review tools to scan wafers for defects and defect characterization.
At least one year in a BS/ME or Physic degree program -Robotic and automation, data analysis using standard software packages (Excel)
