Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  1. Use statistical concepts such as standard deviation and sample size to interpret the significance of results, to recognize data outliers and the risk of over-fitting and to evaluate the robustness of conclusions
  2. Apply a wide range of numerical methods for data analysis including nonlinear optimization; model-fitting and curve-fitting; Fourier, convolution, and correlation analyses; optimal interpolation; edge detection; histogram analysis; clustering and modal analysis
  3. Learn to operate various test fixtures to collect data
  4. Learn LabView programing
  5. Learn Optical concepts
  6. Learn image and signal processing

Qualifications

  • BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • If BS at least 1 year of working experience in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge of LabView is a plus
  • Scripting (Python or other)
  • Knowledge of matlab or other simulation SW tools
  • The qualified candidate should possess high curiosity, be a fast learner, and have the drive to turn prototype ideas into quality production code used in mission critical applications.
  • Should be prepared to work in a clean room environment occasionally
  • In addition, the candidate should have good communication skills to interact with peers and engineers in other disciplines daily.
  • Be motivated to attack and solve problems rarely found elsewhere.
  • Have excellent communication skills

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level DegreeORBachelor's Level Degree with at least 1 years of experience.
