The Wafer Inspection Division (WIN) is the world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced optical inspection tools for inline monitoring of process defects in advanced semiconductor factories.
The Wafer Inspection group in KLA Tencor SW India Pvt limited is seeking an Applications Engineer to be based in our Chennai, India office.
Responsible for supporting KLA-Tencor's wafer inspection and review review products includes,
-Characterization of new systems and features. This includes designing and conducting experiments, collecting data, publishing results and recommendations in the form of applications notes, best known methods or characterization studies and transferring product knowledge to K-T’s worldwide Field Applications team.
-Work closely with many organizations including engineering, sales and marketing within K-T and with customer engineers outside KLA-Tencor.
-Worldwide travel (upto 70%) is required to support review products at customer fabs.
Must have Master's Level Degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields with <1 year of experience. Must have excellent communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skill.
Must also be self-driven, yet a strong team player.
Background in IC processing/Semiconductor equipment is a plus.
Must be desiring to travel up to 75% on short notice and enjoy working in other cultures.
