Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA-Tencor to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA-Tencor's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA-Tencor’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will be involved in developing the next generation of photomask inspection tool as part of the optical design team. 
  • Perform optical modeling of imaging systems in the specific area of system alignment and compensation. 
  • Work closely with the optical, opto-mechaical and systems engineers to support the development of practical test methods for system alignment, compesation and qualification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate (Academic) or Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience working on developing sophisticated optical systems preferred
  • Experience in optical alignement of precision optical systems.
  • Knowledge of optical design software such as CodeV or Zemax.
  • Understanding of metrology methods for optical systems.
  • Hands-on optics work including test bench design, alignment, tooling design, and trouble-shooting.
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Optics

Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctorate (Academic) OR
  • Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experienceOR
  • Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience
